– Arbeiten an der Basis –
Gelten Quelle und Wurzel in metaphorischer Betrachtung als Anfang oder Neubeginn, so werden diese in Roland Maurmairs gleichnamigen Zyklus als Elemente behandelt, die nicht für sich alleine stehen. Obwohl an der Wurzel, wie auch an der Quelle ein Ursprung verortet wird, befinden beide in einem übergeordneten Zirkulationsprozess: Bevor beispielsweise das Quellwasser aus dem Fels sprudelt, durchläuft es verschiedene Aggregatszustände, war Meer und Wolke und befindet sich in diesem Sinne in einem Kreislauf – und ein Kreis hat ja bekanntlich weder Anfang noch Ende.
Gezeigt werden graphische und mediale Arbeiten, wie auch eine eigens für den Ausstellungsort konzipierte Rauminstallation.

– Basic works –
in metaphoric consideration source and root are seen as beginning and origin, however in Roland Maurmair’s homonymous series they are treated as elements that cannot exist for themselves. Although there is an origin in the roots as well as in the source, both belong to a superposed process of circulation: before the spring water gushes out of the rock it passes through different states of aggregation, it was sea and cloud and thus is part of a circulation, and a circle does not have an end or a beginning, as we know.
To be seen are graphic and media works of art as well as an installation concepted specifically for the place of this exhibition.
