In der exclusiv für das Einkaufzentrum VARENA gestalteten Werkserie Shiny Woods zeigt der Künstler  Roland Maurmair drei Arbeiten, die seinen Zugang zu unserer direkten Umgebung darstellen. Der Hausruckwald dient dem Künstler nicht nur als Inspirationsquelle, sondern ist auch der Ort, an dem er das Material für seine Arbeiten findet.  Die Abdrücke von gefällten heimischen Bäumen, die sich wie eine Lichtung präsentieren, vereinen neben leuchtenden Herbstblättern und strahlenden Käfergängen auf ästhetische Weise das Zusammenspiel von Natur und Technik, welches in seinen Arbeiten allgegenwärtig ist.

 

In the work series Shiny Woods, created exclusively for the shopping center VARENA, the artist Roland Maurmair presents three works that exemplify his approach to our immediate environment. The Hausruck forest not only served the artist as a source of inspiration, it is also the place where he finds the materials for his artworks. Besides vibrant autumn foliage and radiant beetle tunnels, the impressions of local felled trees, coming across like a forest clearing, in an aesthetic manner represent the interplay of nature and technology, which is a recurrent motif in his oeuvre.
